There's no place like home.....

Ok, my Mama Connie has been begging me to get Jason the Bachelor off of here for 2 months now!!! What has taken so long you ask???? Do you have an hour??? or two??? First of all as many of you may know we have been praying very hard that God would open up a job in Arkansas somewhat close to my family so that we can raise our girls there and be closer to everyone we love...well God is soooo Great and not one but THREE jobs opened up and as luck would have it the best offer was right in my home town!!! We will be saving up money like crazy to hopefully build our dream home on my 7acres that I own there!!! Lily Bea is over the moon with happiness. So now we have been busy putting our house on the market, a market that is not moving at all here in Virginia...we have had no bites on our house of yet, zero, zilch, nada. Just somethingelse for us to remain faithful about and know that all things are in God's timing.

We were going to wait for Lily Bea to finish school here but we have had soo many snow days that we couldn't wait until the end of June, so we will be pulling out May 7th and enrolling her in Perryville Elementary May 11, where she will go until June 2, then it's SUMMERTIME!!! She is a bright little bulb so we feel confidant that she won't miss a beat with a move, luckily she doesn't have a shy bone in her body!

Now~ just when we think everything is going smoothly..Miss Mylee had another seizure, in the tub no less, with Lily Bea last Tuesday night. When she was 7 months old she had one and went into respitory failure and had to be flown to the childrens hospital in Johnson City, Tennesse where she spent a week in the PICU. After spinal taps, MRI's, CT Scans..and blood work they decided that it was just a seizure brought on by a 105 fever and that she would outgrow this and most likely never have another one....WRONG. This seizure was not as bad but she was flown again the same hospital where after a EEG it was revealed that she most likely has the early signs of Epilepsy and that she has been having petit Mal Seizures for quite some time now. So they have started her on a medication and as soon as we get to Little Rock she has an appt. at ARkansas Childrens Hospital with a Pediatric Neurologist. This is one of the top 5 Children's hospital's in the U.S. so of course I feel that this was also God's plan...getting us to Arkansas where she can have the best care possible!!! We are very worried and not really sure what all will change with our lives but we are just so grateful that she is here with us and we can hopefully treat this with medication. We cannot imagine our lives without our little monkey and we know that God is the great physician and can heal all things. So in a nutshell our lives are chaotic and crazy right now but we are looking forward to getting back home and this will also put us closer to all of our dear friends in Texas! Now if I could just click my heels three times........

I do!

I'm sad to say that every Monday night I have a little ritual...a guilty pleasure if you will (and I know you will). I put the kids to bed and then I make a tub of popped corn and I crawl into my covers and watch The Bachelor! I love it, I seriously could watch this stupid show all day long. Why??? I consider myself to be intelligent and above this sort of nonsense... but clearly that's not true. This season is the single dad bachelor which in itself is so wrong..why is he flaunting his lips all over TV for his son to one day see??? Oh, well not my problem!! So it starts out with 25 crazy women and I say crazy because the majority of them are educated and beautiful but there is always a few cracked eggs mixed in just to make it fun. I love it when they are clearly stalkers, I love it when the write songs to the stranger...er bachelor and sing off key like they're in an Opera House. OOOh how much to love it when they get soooo wasted all they can do is vomit???? He always has a "connection" with the women and it's always "the most dramatic rose ceremony yet" My favorite is the end when the girls who are kicked to the curb are left crying and talking about their cats at home and how HE just made a big mistake!!! YOU'VE KNOWN HIM FOR 10 MIN. KNIT WIT!!! It's comedy, drama and a study in self-esteem all rolled up into one.

So he now has them narrowed down to 4 needy gals and went to their hometowns to meet the families. Here's the part I don't get...really. What kind of parents agree to this weirdness? They all meet him at the door with hugs and kisses like he's part of the family. UUUHHH, do they not know that their perfect daughter has been drinking wine by the gallon and tickeling his tonsils every time the camera turns her way...for 5wks at this point?????? Now, granted I don't have parents anymore, but if I did and was dumb enough to go on this show...I assure you this is not how it would go down! mmmmhhhmm..no way. I would be the girl last night...rightfully named Melissa whose parents opted not to be humiliated on national television. I hope he chooses her, with her dark tan and massively white teeth because clearly she's the most normal..someone in her immediate family said "ahh, I don't think so". Thank God!!!

Melissa did indeed get a rose last night which means she gets to stay to see how long it will be before she finds out the "connection" just wasn't strong enough! He sent the girl home that couldn't seem to move her lips over her teeth and her mother made him bury a dead dove 20 seconds after meeting him..this was probably a good call on his part.

Is it wrong of me to laugh at these pathetic women who are in competition for a man???? NO, because I'm married now and not out there tanning and bleaching my teeth and working out like a mad woman....wait those are all things I should be doing anyway...hold on...maybe this Bachelor show isn't such a bad idea! OOOO, I can't wait until next Monday night!!!!

We Know Snow!

In late November it began snowing here in the mountains of Virginia. It is now February and guess what??? It's still snowing!! We are like bears hibernating through the winter months eating anything that isn't still breathing. I've started dosing out Vitamin D pills just so we don't disintegrate when we do get to go back in the sun (if ever). However, Lily Bea has wanted to go outside all day, everyday, even though it's 10 below 0..that was ZERO, people!!! So we've had a few fun snow days and lots of hot cocoa...yum, yum. Be sure to check back in July when I'm complaining about how HOT it is..uughhh!!!

Small Talk

Lily Bea came home 3 days in a row bragging to us that all the kids in her kindergarten class got in trouble for talking...all but her. Mmmmm, normally this would not alarm parents, in fact it would result in praises and probably a gold star stuck somewhere. Not in our house. If you know Lily Bea then you know why her proclamation sounds...iffy at best. You know why Barry and I gave each other sideways glances like we were being told some weird riddle. She loves to talk, and when I say love I mean is addicted to the spoken word. She has spoken some form of blabber since she was 5 months old and truly has not been quite for the past 6 years. The child talks in her sleep and if you ask her to be quiet it's a sure bet that she will not be able to do so to save her life. She's lively and inquisitive and downright hilarious and very resourceful because if she can't find anyone to talk to, well she just strikes up a lengthy conversation with herself...who better?!? Much to our joy (relief) it turned out to be true...Lily Bea, our little squawk box behaves at school! The teacher said Lily Bea actually shushes everyone when they get loud! WHAT?? Really? Are you sure??? Yep, she is the best behaved in class!! That's right folks we have ourselves a first class suck up, teacher's pet if you will. We are so proud!!! Hopefully she'll be the Hall Monitor next year! Now I have to go scrounge up a gold star sticker. :)

Mama! Mama! Mama!

Mama. That's my name, not my given name. Janna Melissa Wade now Dillinger..that's who I was once upon a time...Everyone always called me Sissy, then Keith's little sister, then Barry's wife, and now my favorite, "Mama"!! I carried both of my daughters past their expected due dates, stayed up all night with them, nursed them, etc. and of course their first words were "Daddy"!! WHAT??? Mylee still only says Mama when she is being exceptionally sweet..Lily Bea says it 1400 times a day. Although, I must admit there are times when it drives me bonkers (like right now as I'm typing this, Lily Bea is yelling it like the house is on fire. ) but I know there will come a day all too soon when they will not be yelling for me any longer. They will be busy with the business of growing up and becoming women and meeting their own needs and I will be shuffling around the house looking for finger prints to wash off of a wall, barbies to pick up and I know without a doubt my ears will be waiting to hear "Mama"..if not my ears, my heart for sure. I love those little voices and I thank you God for the gift of them. Now I gotta go...someone's yelling for me.:)
